Doxy PEP

Doxy PEP is a single dose of oral antibiotic medication taken after sex. It reduces the risk of acquiring syphilis and chlamydia.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that providers discuss Doxy PEP with:

• all adult men who have sex with men (MSM) who have a history of at least one bacterial STI during the past 12 months;
• transgender women who have sex with men who have a history of at least one bacterial STI during the past 12 months.
